“One of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.” –Plato
Oligarchy. Is it really a form of government? Can a group of people truly be oligarchs? Can the United States of America really be, or become an oligarchy? The answer to all of the previous questions, except for one, is yes. The answer to the one that is not yet is, well, sort of.
The words oligarchy and oligarch get thrown around a lot these days, but do they really mean what we think they mean? This article will not point out exactly who oligarchs are, or even if the U.S. is an oligarchy, but instead is intended to drive truth seekers to develop a foundational understanding of the topic.
Before we get into the makeup of an oligarch, it’s paramount that the how of an oligarchy and an oligarch is established. An oligarchy is sort of a form of government but not entirely because oligarchs never assume government responsibility, and an oligarchy can only function on the back of a ‘perceived’ established government. In other words, if the government on paper is a Republic, then the oligarchy can only take place as long as the Republican government is ‘perceived’ to still be the national government. That is where the parasite analogy comes in; in the state of oligarchy, the oligarchs feed off of the back of the nation until the nation dies.
Furthermore, the rise to oligarch is not done by plundering, but by manipulation. Fear is the ultimate weapon of choice for evil #empires. In the information age, the imposition of fear is not with the bombs and bombers but with the lies and #designed #complexities. The breakdown of society starts with false beliefs, then false beliefs become alternate realities. Through those #alternaterealities, oligarchs are given increasingly more power and wealth while the liberty of the people is surrendered to them proportionally. All the while, the designed complexities cause mass confusion leaving the masses unable to figure any of it out. If the cycle continues, the originally established government becomes less and less the government, and more and more of a conduit for the rule and plunder of the oligarchs. However little the government governs, it must be ‘perceived’ that it is still the government. Then, once the established government is thwarted the real transition to cruel despotism takes place.
Democracy is that illusionary form of government that is smoldering and waiting to erupt while the oligarchy finishes sucking the nation dry, which is the transition mentioned earlier. That is why the Founders were clear about the dangers of democracies and their violent ends. Getting back to illusionary, while the installed system of complexity fools the people into thinking they are not only ‘free’ and have a government, but also that the system they live in is actually working; in reality, it is failing miserably and running deeper negatives by the day. Then, as the level of calamity increases and the bondage grows increasingly stronger, the very entities that caused it are increasingly made to be the saviors.
If a society understands this process, then it can assess where it is in the process and adjust. Identification is key, so let’s take a look at the 3 qualifiers of an oligarch.
Considered a savior to some degree
For the savior principle to take place, there must be something to be saved from. This qualification is made evident with obsessive and abusive fear-mongering, then corrective actions or products to make save people from what they are supposed to be scared of. It tends to be a “you will be scared of this if you are smart” and then “you’ll do/take/have this if you are smart”. Then as the power of the oligarch grows, the “if you are smart” part transitions into “or else”. It turns into a “don’t be in our way while we are trying to save everyone from…” kind of situation.
In a position to exercise control over a large portion of a citizenry; particularly in regards to wealth and the confiscation of it
Since the citizenry is the body that oligarchs suck from, it is particularly important for them to control large portions of the population that feeds them. First by fear, which is described above, then through the established government. There are three levels of fear and exercising alternate realities is the final stage. Whenever society transitions through different levels of fear, they will increasingly impose the will of the oligarchs on to each other. This is where society takes on the Orwellian look. The early stages of this are the culture of suspicion and then progress into using the government as the enforcer.
Powerful enough to drive a nation’s foreign and domestic policies, and the country’s treasury
When as a rule, not the exception, a society holds an irrational fear then oligarchs can ratchet up their tyrannical rule from fearocracy to legislation favorable to their profits. There are various levels of this, the latest being the obvious (not so obvious) use of the perceived government to hammer the agenda home. The three keys are all intertwined, not necessarily levels, but have levels within themselves. This qualifier, like the other 2, has levels of progression. At the lower level, an oligarch will depend on you being sick, scared, secluded, addicted, etc. to thrive, and then have government agencies favor them. Then, once that level is mastered, agencies will begin to employ them and their actions, products, and services. Last, the government begins to enforce its products, actions, and services with the consent of the majority, the backing of the robes, the invocation of the legislature, and the hopeless indebtedness of the generations to come.
Saving the world for themselves gets expensive but somebody has to do it, and that’s why oligarchs get all of the protection but take on none of the responsibility. Oligarchs don’t make themselves, and they don’t care if you don’t like it, but they do think you owe them something…you know, for saving you and saving the world, and saving you from the world. In other words, there is no such thing as a benevolent oligarchy, and there is no good end to runaway debt combined with apathy toward a lack of moral governance.
